Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley have co-hosted the CMA Awards together for years now, so they weren't totally thrown off when they had to make some very last-minute changes to the show last year. It turns out some of the bits they had planned got them in hot water with a few fellow country stars, forcing Carrie and Brad to re-write the script an hour before show time.
During an interview on ABC's Good Morning America Friday, Brad said, "Truthfully, a couple of artists complained about some of the jokes because we made the mistake of letting them know what they were. I'm never gonna do that again."
Carrie and Brad will host the CMA Awards for a sixth time this Wednesday, November 6 on ABC. The two stars have known each other since Carrie hit the country scene in 2005, which explains why they're so good together hosting the show.
Carrie said on GMA, "We've known each other since one of my very first tours that I got to be a part of, his tour, and I don't know, it's just chemistry."
During their visit to Good Morning America, Brad and Carrie revealed that ABC's Robin Roberts will be handing out the Entertainer of the Year trophy on Wednesday night's 47th Annual CMA Awards. The show broadcasts live from Nashville that night at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
