Jennifer Nettles Announces Details of Debut Solo Album, That Girl, Due Out January 14

Jennifer Nettles is set to release her debut solo album, That Girl, on January 14. She made the project with famed producer Rick Rubin in Malibu, and the songs are influenced by Jennifer's musical roots in country, '70s radio and gospel.

She says, "I started writing this album three years ago. I put no conscious guides or governors on the creation of this album other than to write songs that I want to sing."

Jennifer wrote 10 of the 11 tracks on That Girl, and her co-writers include Richard MarxSara Bareillesand Phillip Sweet of Little Big Town. Jennifer ends the album with a soulful take on Bob Seger's "Like a Rock."
