Jake Owen had four number-one hits from his last album, Barefoot Blue Jean Night, but he isn't nervous about keeping that string of hits going with his latest album, Days of Gold. In fact, Jake's previous success made him very laid-back while making the new album.
He says, "I've looked at it like, if you've won the race before, or if you've set out to do something and you've accomplished what you wanted, I'm by no means content with where I am, but you feel more at home. You're not as nervous."
Having a track record of hits gave Jake a sense of belonging in the country music community, too.
"I feel comfortable with how people perceive me," Jake explains. "I don't feel like I'm trying to win them over as much anymore as I did before."
Jake has produced a trilogy of videos for his new songs "Days of Gold," "Beachin'" and "Ghost Town, " now available on Vevo.
