  • Nanci Griffith with Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, Steve Earle, Rodney Crowell, Jimmy Dale Gilmore, Eric Taylor (1998)
  • Willie Nelson and Ryan Adams (2002)
  • Warren Zevon (2002)

  • Elizabeth Cook with Jason Isbell (2012)
  • Dan Penn (2014)
  • Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Mark O’Connor, Amos Lee and Steve Martin (2015)

“I love Elizabeth Cook,” said Dave. “She’s the best thing on Outlaw Country. Full disclosure, we briefly married in the ’50s. Listening to her show, Apron Strings, makes me want to steal a car and drive to Barstow. She’s just that good.”

Joining Elizabeth and Dave in the Apron Strings studio will be longtime Late Show With David Letterman musical director Paul Shaffer.

Apron Strings with Elizabeth, Dave and Paul will premiere on Wednesday, May 24, at 9 a.m. ET on SiriusXM’s Outlaw Country, via satellite on channel 60 and through the SiriusXM app on smartphones and other connected devices, as well as online at siriusxm.com. The special will rebroadcast throughout the week and weekend.
