Tae Kerr of Maddie & Tae gave birth to her daughter Leighton Grace in mid-January of this year.

Leighton was originally suppose to arrive this week.

So on April 6th, the original due date, Tae shared the story of the struggle and uncertainty that proceeded Leighton’s arrival on January 17th, and the amazing road they have been on since that day.

Tae’s Birth Story video combines the footage that Tae and her husband Josh captured over the month that they were in the hospital and then the 53 days that Leighton was in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit).

It’s such an uplifting story – but one that is easier for Tae and Josh to reflect on now that they have their little girl home and safe.
