Parmalee Living a “Dream Come True” Thanks to Their Top 10 Hit, “Carolina”

Country newcomers Parmalee have scored their first top 10 hit with "Carolina" more than a decade after they first formed the band in North Carolina. Now that they've achieved success on the country chart, lead singer Matt Thomas tells ABC News Radio it feels like a "dream come true."

It's just awesome to be where we are," he says. "This is always what we hoped and wished for. Everything that's going on around it is amazing."

Parmalee has seen their Facebook and Twitter accounts explode since "Carolina" became a big hit on the radio. The band's friends are blowing up the guys' phones, too.

Drummer Scott Thomas says, "Oh man, I had to change my phone number just from all the messages I was getting from everybody hearing the songs. So yeah, they're hearing it, and they're telling us about it."(AUDIO IS ABC 1-ON-1)

Parmalee will release their new album, Feels Like Carolina, on December 10.
