Carrie Underwood fans can now get their first peak at the American Idol winner performing as Maria von Trapp in a new version of The Sound of Music.  You can hear Carrie sing one minute of the title song atCMT.com.

The soundtrack to the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic comes out December 3, just a couple of days before the live, three-hour production airs at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

This Sunday, Carrie competes for Favorite Female Artist — Country at the American Music Awards, vying for the title with Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift.
